I am a photographer based in Salem, Massachusetts. My interests include Fine Art, Nature/Wildlife, and Abstract photography.
I strive to create images that engage and challenge the eye and brain. I enjoy scenes that make the viewer’s brain do some computational work to arrive at an interpretation of the image, whether figural (“what is that?”), narrative (“what is happening there?”), emotional (“that makes me feel …”), cognitive (e.g. visual humor) or some combination of these. My images often combine elements of literal representation and abstraction, the familiar and the off-kilter. If you feel your mental gears grinding when you look at my work then I have been successful!
